Museum Tour

In this episode we visit the city of Vallauris where Pablo Picasso became fascinated by the town and the ceramics after visiting an exhibition and it’s where he lived for a decade. The city remains forever marked by the work of this protean artist. Picasso is known in Vallauris for the chapel of the castle and its impressive cycle of paintings entitled "War and Peace".

In 1908, Pierre-Auguste Renoir had a neo-Provençal style house-studio built in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the domain of Collettes. Also known as Renoir Museum, it has a collection of fourteen original paintings and forty sculptures in a setting that reflects the last years of the painter's life and work.

Fernand Leger combines modernity and dynamism in his works. To exhibit his art, he has a museum dedicated to him in Biot. Let's have a look at the impressive collection of this museum, surrounded by a superb park laid out by Henri Fisch.
