The organisation of the expedition is entrusted to naturalist Marc Gansuana. He goes on a reconnaissance trip in search of the perfect campsite, with several tonnes of equipment needed for the expedition.

After a few difficult days, organiser Marc Gansuana manages to set up camp. The scientists can now finally go to Namoroka massif, where they want to make an inventory of all animal and plant species.
