The Broken Bridge

S1, E8: Mr Carraway is delivering boxes of plaice to the biscuit factory restaurant when PC McGarry tells them the Chigley bridge is unsafe and closed to all traffic. Mr Cresswell has a delivery of biscuits to go out that he now can’t do. Mr Carraway says that the boys from Pippin Fort have a temporary bridge kept at Treddles Wharf, which is on the other side of the river. Lord Belborough goes in Bessie to get it from the wharf.
