S1, E1: Their goal is Miami, but first, Russetid! Marion and Marit, who were best friends and partners of synchronized swimming, were looking forward to spring break and their lives in the US after high school in Norway. However, to their devastation, a sex video that involves one of them leaks, and a feminist hacker named Fanny is on a mission to find the culprit. Because of the leak, Marion and Marit's friendship is ruined. At the beginning of the show, which starts from the end, they are both outcasts and are no longer friends. With a few glimpses of what led them in this direction, we learn the entire incident has something to do with a Norwegian tradition called "russetiden." The first episode opens with a tragic incident in the pool. The truth of what happened is revealed in reverse chronology.
