Big Brother Cheng

After the success of The Teahouse, Shaw Brothers would naturally start working on a sequel centered on its iconic main character. Once again under the taut direction of Kuei Chih-Hung, Chen Kuan-Tai reprises his role as the now eponymous Big Brother Cheng. Big Brother Cheng's humble teahouse is still under threat from gang violence, and he continues to valiantly fight back against their relentless assaults. But one day his uncle Jing ends up in hospital beaten within an inch of his life, eventually succumbing to his wounds. In the face of police inaction, Cheng and his friends must mount a vigilante resistance against the criminal underworld to uncover the culprit and restore justice. The saga that began with The Teahouse continues with this riveting tale of an indomitable fighter using his strength and compassion to uphold his values and protect his community.
