Aaron McCusker

Born in Portadown, County Armagh, Ireland, Aaron McCusker began acting as part of a local drama collective known as The Phoenix Players before making his television debut in the British crime drama made-for-TV movie "Murder" (2002). In 2003 McCusker made his film debut in "The Ticking Man" (2003), playing the role of Jack in the short film. After 2003, McCusker mostly worked in television. IN 2005 he appeared in an episode of "The Rotters' Club" (BBC 2005), a 4-part adaptation of the Jonathan Coe novel set in the 1970s. In 2007, McCusker was cast in the British television series "Shameless" (Channel 4, 2004-2013), as Jamie Maguire. In 2013 he appeared in two episodes of the American series "Dexter" (Showtime, 2006-2013). Following his work on "Shameless" McCusker continued to pursue television projects while re-entering the world of film, appearing in the Irish movie "Shooting for Socrates" (2014), and the short film "Loss" (2014). In 2015 McCusker was cast in the series "Fortitude" (Sky Atlantic 2015-), a British psychological thriller. He also appeared in American TV series "The Astronaut Wives Club" (ABC, 2015-) and guested in an episode of American crime series "Castle" (ABC, 2009-2016). In 2018 McCusker appeared in the Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" (2018), as Jim Hutton, Freddie Mercury's life partner.
