Alain Figlarz

Even those unfamiliar with French cinema may have come across Alain Figlarz at some point, since he is not only an actor but also a well-known stuntman who has worked on a string of big-budget action blockbusters. Perhaps most famously, his stunt skills were seen in the 2002 hit "The Bourne Identity," the first in the hugely successful "Bourne" series starring Matt Damon, although the shaven-haired performer -- who started out in French productions in the late 90s before turning his attention to more mainstream projects -- has also worked on the likes of action sequel "Transporter 3" and the 2008 epic "Babylon A.D." Figlarz, however, has not forgotten his French roots, and his stunt work can also be seen in such productions as the period horror film "Brotherhood Of The Wolf" (2001), and zombie thriller " The Horde," released in 2009. An adept multi-tasker, he has also enjoyed acting roles in some of the higher-profile French films of recent years, including "36," which took a look at the gritty world of Parisian criminal gangs and starred Daniel Auteuil and Gerard Depardieu, and "La Vie En Rose," which won its star Marion Cotillard the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2008.
