After a year trapped in the Cretaceous period, Abby and Connor finally return to the present, followed by a giant Spinosaurus, the largest known carnivorous dinosaur. The new ARC team responds.

A vicious underground creature brings chaos to the city, and the team must race against time to track its movements and prevent it from causing more damage. When it strikes again, the ARC crew find one of their own in mortal danger. Meanwhile, a new staff member joins the team.

The team stumble across the wedding of ex-ARC member Jenny Lewis at a a stately home where they are investigating an anomaly.

The ARC team are run ragged by increasing numbers of anomalies. As reports flood in of more anomalies and even of a T-Rex loose on the streets, the group struggle to keep up. Meanwhile, Matt realises that his secret mission is coming to a climax and races to the machine to switch it off. When Philip escapes Connor's custody, the clock is ticking for the team to stop him.
