Hugh Quarshie

Throughout his entertainment career as an accomplished actor, Hugh Quarshie graced the silver screen many times. Early on, Quarshie mostly landed roles in various films, including the adventure "The Dogs of War" (1980) with Christopher Walken, the fantasy "Baby: The Secret of the Lost Legend" (1985) with Katt William and the action flick "Highlander" (1986) with Christopher Lambert. He also appeared in "The Church" (1989) and the Craig Sheffer horror film "Night Breed" (1990). He had an early role on the television special "Three of a Kind" (ABC, 1988-89). His career progressed to film, including a role in the Liam Neeson blockbuster action picture "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" (1999). He also starred in the TV movies "Bermuda Grace" (1993-94), "MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis" (ABC, 1993-94) and "Solomon & Sheba" (Showtime, 1994-95). Quarshie took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in "To Walk With Lions" (2000) with Richard Harris, the crime drama "It Was An Accident" (2001) with Chiwetel Ejiofor and the drama "Conspiracy of Silence" (2004) with Jonathan Forbes. He also was featured in the TV movie "Horatio Hornblower: Retribution" (2000-01). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Doctor Who" (BBC, 2004-). Most recently, Quarshie appeared in "White Heat" (2011-12).
