James Buckley

James Buckley was a British actor who was best known for his role as Jay Cartwright on the British sitcom "The Inbetweeners" (E4, 2008-2010). Born and raised in the London town of Croydon, Buckley found out he had a knack for performing at a very young age. By the age of 7 he was appearing in plays for his school, and also taking acting classes on the weekends. The acting classes soon paid off and by 11 Buckley was landing stage roles on London's prestigious West End, most notably in plays like "Les Miserables" and "Whistle Down the Wind." As he entered his teens Buckley began appearing in various British television shows, most notably "Holby City" (BBC, 1999-), "Skins" (E4, 2007-2013), and "The Bill" (ITV, 1984-2010). Then in 2008 he landed his breakout role as Jay Cartwright on the comedy series "The Inbetweeners." Buckley played the role of Cartwright on all three seasons of the popular British comedy. After "The Inbetweeners" ended its three season run, Buckley reprised his role as Jay Cartwright in the film adaptations of the series: "The Inbetweeners Movie" (2011) and "The Inbetweeners 2" (2014). After a few years of movie acting, Buckley returned to television in 2016 with parts on the British shows "White Gold" (BBC Two, 2017-) and "Zapped" (Dave, 2016-). In addition to his film and TV acting, Buckley also launched his very own YouTube channel in 2016. His channel, which he titled "Completed It Mate," was focused on video gaming and had over 350,000 subscribers as of August 2018.
