Contestants compete for immunity through a Quickfire Challenge, using a weird assortment of tools and ingredients. The elimination round has the chefs creating a meal using trash fish.

Contestants are asked to create vegetarian versions of comfort food, however, they are only allowed to grab one ingredient at a time. The elimination round require contestants to create dishes that pay homage to Edna Lewis.

The chefs face a mountain of baking ingredients pointing to a biscuit challenge, barbecue master Rodney Scott tasks the chefs to prepare a whole hog and three side dishes for 150 barbecue lovers, including country music star Darius Rucker.

The elimination round require chefs to host a pirate themed party, but contestants must venture into the city to search for treasure chests full of ingredients.

The eight contestants spilt into two teams, tasked to transform an empty space into a pop-up restaurant within 24 hours.

It's the new versus the old, as the eight new chefs must face off with returning contestants. Splitting into two teams, they must battle for immunity.
