After the loss of Lake Erie to the Americans, the British abandon Upper Canada's Western Frontier and the Moravian Delaware flee to Burlington Heights with other refugees.

Many settlers on Upper Canada's Western Frontier were born in the United States. While most residents try to avoid the conflict, some will choose to aid the Americans.

In 1814, Governor Cass and General McArthur plan a total destruction of Upper Canada's Western Frontier. The refugee camps at Burlington Heights become increasingly desperate.
