Denton Police station suffers threats, deaths, arson and a staff shortage in this episode but Frost is busy investigating a woman who is receiving threatening phone calls in connection to the murder of a teenage girl.

In this the last of the series, Frost gains a new partner. Together they investigate a robbery at an exclusive casino, that has a feisty female manager, and a hit and run, which not only involves a pensioner, who is left in a critical condition, but also an MP's son.

Frost is called in to solve the mystery of the death of a young junkie. On the surface it looks like a drug overdose and Dr McKenzie, summoned from a dinner engagement sees no reason to question this but finds himself in an invidious position when pathology reveals that the victim has in fact been murdered. Frost wastes no such time in dealing with the case but also finds he must deal with personal issues as well.
