BBC Proms
Available on BBC iPlayer
BBC Proms, the biggest classical music festival in the world, opens at the Royal Albert Hall and continues throughout the summer. For eight weeks there is an eclectic programme on offer as global classical music is celebrated by international orchestras and conductors to bring some of the best classic music to audiences both at home and across London. With concerts, workshops, family events and more, the BBC Proms continue to delight, excite and present an array of music for everyone to enjoy, staying true to founders Robert Newman and Sir Henry Woods's initial intention when the Proms was formed in 1895.
