Belfast Midwives

Follows the team of midwives at Royal Jubilee Maternity Service in the heart of Belfast. Three couples are on the brink of welcoming a new baby into their family, midwives Deirbhile, Naomi and Aimee are on hand to help.

Natalie and Eddie met online and face a long labour. Having recently lost twins during pregnancy, Stacey needs supporting through an emotional labour. Azza has been induced and is in labour, but her husband is away from home working in Cork.

Angela and Scott met just a year ago and now they're having a baby. Farmers Louise and Colin are expecting twins. But Louise's pregnancy is proving far from straightforward.

Fatima has symptoms of pre-eclampsia. The team decide she needs to be induced. And first-time parents Louise and Darragh's dream of a water-birth doesn't go to plan.

Having fainted in labour, Laura is moved to a specialist ward. Esther and Abed prepare for a planned C-section - and this time Abed is determined not miss the birth.
