Country House Revisited

Cothay Manor, a grade I listed medieval house in Somerset, was bought by Mary-Anne and Alastair Robb in 1993 and restored. However, the manor is losing money and its future ownership is uncertain. Ruth Watson is tasked with turning the estate's fortunes around to secure its long-term future.

Elmore Court, a grade II listed mansion in Elmore, Gloucestershire, has been the Guise baronets' family seat for nearly 800 years. Anselm Guise, a dance DJ, inherited the estate in 2007 from his uncle, while the baronetcy went to Anselm's father. Anselm's relaxed approach has led to the mansion's deterioration, prompting Ruth to encourage him to take action to prevent further disrepair.

Chesters is a 17th-century country house and estate in the Scottish Borders, featuring 1,500 acres, 14 cottages, and a mile of the River Teviot. John and Ellie Henderson wish to leave London to live at Chesters, John's ancestral home, but can't afford it. They seek Ruth's help to make the estate profitable enough to fulfill their dream.

Albury Park is a grade II listed country house in Albury, Surrey. Nigel and Jennifer Whalley bought it in 2004, initially sharing it with elderly residents. When the others left, the Whalleys had to buy their shares, accruing 4 million in debt. Ruth plans a show flat to attract new investors and save them from financial ruin.

Black Clauchrie House is an Arts and Crafts style former hunting lodge in South Ayrshire. Adrian and Caroline Goodall bought it in 2004 but haven't capitalised on their investment. Ruth tries to help them leverage their home's heritage, but other professional commitments might threaten their relationship and the future of Black Clauchrie House.

Pentillie is a 17th-century castle and estate on the River Tamar near St Mellion, Cornwall. Owned by the Coryton family since 1698, Ted and Sarah Coryton inherited it in 2007. Initially planning to sell due to family disputes, they now wish to keep it and seek Ruth's professional advice to improve the estate's fortunes.
