Lieutenant Megan Donner rejoins the Miami Dade county CSI team as they have to investigate a jet plane crash in the Everglades. One of the victims is found five miles away from the crash site. The sole survivor of the crash claims the woman had opened the plane's hatch in order to commit suicide but Horatio is suspicious. As usual, there's more to this case than meets the eye.

An explosive episode in which a Colombian businessman is killed by a bomb. The blast also takes the life of Horatio's former mentor - making the case into something of a personal matter. However, Megan is very worried, especially when another device is found. It's clear that there is a serial bomber on the loose. Can he be stopped?

The gruesome discovery of a man who has been partially eaten by a shark turns into a murder enquiry when he is found to have been shot. Later, another victim is dragged out of the ocean, and Horatio begins to wonder whether there is a sea-going serial killer on the loose.

The team investigates a rape and a murder on a beach. As Megan and Horatio interview the boyfriend of the rape victim, they discover that the couple attended a lavish party thrown by a wealthy political family, the Hamiltons. As the evidence against them starts to mount, the Hamiltons resort to desperate measures to save themselves.

A 12-year-old altar boy is the prime suspect after a priest is shot. The CSI team uncover evidence of abuse at the boy's home, but face more questions than answers when his father is bludgeoned to death. Elsewhere, Horatio and Delko investigate when the charred remains of a pregnant woman are found.

When a young girl's body is found in the bathroom of an amusement park, the death appears to be the result of a bungled kidnapping. But as the investigation progresses, the murder is revealed to have more sinister overtones.
