The Mufeng butterfly helps Fengjiu to clean up, which angers Zhi He. As punishment, he banishes it to the mortal realm and sends Fengjiu to repent in the imperial kitchen.

As Fengjiu is cooking the sweet and sour fish for Zhi He, Dong Hua smells it and comes to the Kitchen. Fengjiu is excited to see Dong Hua, but he is only interested in the recipe for the sweet and sour fish.

When Yan Chiwu seeks help from Chuyin the demon king, Chuyin decides to use him to remove the soul-locking jade. Later, while fighting with Yan Chiwu, Dong Hua's sword touches the soul-locking jade.
