Ever Decreasing Circles

Martin's new neighbour seems like a nice chap, but quickly begins to make Martin feel that his position as `leader' of the Close is under threat.

At a meeting of the Residents' Association, Martin rants about the fact that he seems to have to do everything himself. He offers to resign as Chairman. To his surprise, Paul proposes the members accept Martin's resignation.

Martin and certain others in the Close are nearly scandalised by Paul's outlandish behaviour, burning perfectly good house signs and entertaining scantily clad women in his back garden! Whatever next?

Martin is looking forward to his annual holiday in Austria, where every year he, Ann, Howard and Hilda go to the same hotel.

Martin organises a fund-raising dance. Paul innocently lends a helping hand, and in doing so mercilessly interferes with Martin's arrangements. How will Martin retaliate?

Martin visits an old lady every week. When he invites her round for tea, she insists on bringing all of her friends. Martin organises an afternoon of activities, planning to finish with a bingo session.
