Hit & Miss

Riley reluctantly agrees for Mia to take Leonie to a ballet class. Surrounded by real mothers Mia feels out of place. Meanwhile, John puts the smallholdings up for sale. Levi's efforts to confront John are laughed off for he is only a boy. Frustrated and angry Levi blames Mia for the house being sold and calls her a freak. Mia leaves, struggling to cope with her identity and this new family she has inherited. Meanwhile a strange man lurks around the smallholdings. Watching the house... Watching the kids...

Mia has now established a better relationship with her new family despite Leoni's insistence that she can see her dead mother. She forces John at gunpoint to sell her the farm and he agrees but takes it out on his wife and on Riley, whom he demands has an abortion when she announces her pregnancy. Mia and Ben start dating but she carries out another hit - successfully - though she is hit by a car and taken to hospital, from where she escapes. In her weakened state she is taken home by Ben and decides to tell him her true situation. He is initially repulsed but eventually reconciles with her.

Mia, a pre-op transsexual, is an assassin. Her boss Eddie loves that she never misses a target. However Mia is thrown off key when former girlfriend Wendy reveals she has a son, Ryan. Wendy dies and names Mia the legal guardian of Riley, Levi, Ryan and Leonie. Since Wendy's death Riley has been the mother of the house and at 16 years of age she's finding it tough. Mia moves into the smallholding with the kids, pays the bills and tries to help around the house but it's clear they don't want her around.

Riley struggles to come to terms with what she has done, she is a complete mess and starts to self harm. Levi is working for Eddie, running errands for him here and there. Mia goes to John's house to plant his wedding ring, make it look like he's left Penny, but when she gets there; Penny is in labour and Mia helps deliver the baby. Mia finds out that Levi is working again for Eddie and is furious...

There's a fairground in town and Mia takes the kids there. Her worse fears come true when she recognizes one of the stall holders - her brother. Knowing her mum must be in one of the caravans at the back, she goes to find her. Her mum doesn't acknowledge her. But when her brother arrives home, he's embarrassed and humiliated by Mia. He never accepted the idea of a sex change.
