L'Ora

In Sicily, 1958, editor-in-chief Nicastro wants to turn the communist L'Ora into a real newspaper. Journalist Domenico tries to solve the disappearance of a union leader.

Editor-in-Chief Nicastro wants to confront Dr Navarre. His boss advises him to finally write what nobody dares to say out loud - namely that the mafia is behind the crimes he is investigating.

The journalists of `L'Ora' watch as the Carabinieri react violently to a peaceful union demonstration. After the demonstration, the union leader Monteleone seeks refuge in the editorial office.

Director Franco Maresco observes the double standards towards the mafia in Sicily. Explores a complex network of different mafia families, hitmen, businessmen, bosses and their opponents in the police.

Domenico and Nic try to photograph Perrotta's corpse. Salvo and Enza are now sneaking up on the supposed medical congress - and end up at a meeting of the Mafia.

L'Ora has published a photo of Perrotta's body, but this is not without consequences. The city cancels all advertising contracts. Meanwhile, Nic, Rampulla and Grisanti pursue Luciano "Lucky" Liggio.
