Murder in Hanko

Ruben Waara turns 50 and returns to Hanko, the Finnish Riviera. However, Ruben's estranged daughter Vera, a police officer, has no time to rekindle their relationship, as his arrival coincides with a rare homicide.

Vera tries to keep her curious father at arm's length from her murder investigation.

Vera receives unexpected assistance from the National Bureau of Investigation. It seems Janne, her ex-husband, is involved in the crime. Ruben's relationship with Helen deepens, but she is not the only beautiful flower in town.

All the small-town secrets seem to lead to the Caven family, whose relationships are cracking under pressure. Vera tries to learn how to work with Tommi, while Ruben wants to become a true Hanko inhabitant.

Ruben gets an opportunity to bond with and get to know his grandson better.

A new fatality shakes Hanko to the core. Vera tries to find out if the death of the member of the Caven family is connected to the earlier homicide. Ruben's involvement in the case nibbles away at Vera's credibility.
