Mushi-Shi

Ginko travels into the mountains to find a young boy rumoured to possess the rare ability to draw forth new forms of life with a simple paint brush.

A girl suffers from an unusual disease that causes her pain when she sees light; the girl confesses to a friend that her illness is caused by Mushi in her eyes.

Ginko investigates a small village where a number of the residents have lost their hearing in one or both ears; one person in the town suffers some additional symptoms.

Ginko gives a man some medicine to help with the Mushi that are invading his dreams; Ginko finds the town abandoned and destroyed when he returns to check on the man.

Adashino-sensei wants to buy some of the items Ginko has collected; Ginko investigates a swamp that appears to be moving.

Ginko is brought to a distant island to meet a girl reported to be able to perform miracles who the locals treat as a god.
