October Road

Ten years after leaving his hometown of Knights Ridge, Nick Garrett returns to teach a one-day course at the local college, hoping that he will also be able to catch up on what has happened since he has been gone. His homecoming will not be a smooth one though, as Nick wrote a best-selling novel based on his former friends, and he does not know how they reacted. Can he confront his past demons and move on with his life?

Nick wants to stay in Knights Ridge, but when he tries to get a job at the local college, obstacles keep appearing, and his friends are still mad at him. Eddie tries to get back at him by pursuing Aubrey, and Hannah is angry when she realises that The Commander is trying to find out if Sam is Nick's son. Meanwhile, Ikey is not happy when Alison and Owen go on their annual date.

Hannah finds herself conflicted about her feelings for Ray and Nick, Nick uses an idea from his novel to help Sam impress a girl, Janet is worried that Eddie is embarrassed by her, and Physical Phil has a crush on a pizza delivery girl.

Hannah and Janet send Sam on a secret mission, but its outcome proves tragic. Meanwhile, Ronnie and Nick discover The Commander's secret, Ikey and Eddie are incensed when they learn that Ray has been stealing their clients, and Physical Phil plans a date with the pizza delivery girl.

Nick and Hannah bond as they wait to discover how Sam's surgery has gone, Eddie deals with the consequences of standing up Janet, and Ikey and Alison come to an agreement about their secret relationship. Elsewhere, Physical Phil wonders how to avenge Pizza Girl's treatment by some drunken frat boys.

Nick is torn when Aubrey gives him an ultimatum - to choose between her and Hannah, and Eddie musters up a lukewarm response to a surprise from his friends. Physical Phil decides to pursue Pizza Girl, and Ray tells Owen about Alison and Ikey's secret relationship.
