In the Pentland Hills, the ambulance crew struggle to find a hiker who has fallen ill. In Glasgow, a crash on the motorway sees several casualties hospitalised including a pregnant woman. In Edinburgh, ambulance crew Stephen and Gwion are called to a festival worker who needs treatment for a reaction to a bee sting, and just outside the city, a woman has a suspected broken arm after a fall in the street.
Crews from Paisley, Glasgow and Edinburgh as they respond to high-pressure 999 calls, 24 hours a day. And we are with Scotland's air ambulance in Perth as they serve those in the remotest parts of Scotland.
The stakes are always high for the Scottish Ambulance Service. They respond to emergencies wherever they are needed, from remote islands to busy cities.
Special operations paramedics respond to a major incident on the A90 near Dundee. A crash between a van and a bus has led to multiple casualties, including one patient thrown from the top deck of the bus. Team leader Mark must prioritise those who need the most urgent care as he works with dozens of other emergency responders at the scene of the crash. In Edinburgh, paramedic Martyn and technician Kevin are called to treat a woman who has fallen outside.
