Mirai Kakehashi plans to kill himself on the day of his middle school graduation, but Nasse the angel saves his life and grants him wings and arrows; Mirai initially refuses, but he begins to regain his hope after receiving them.

Mirai learns about two other candidates to become God: a comedian who uses Red Arrows to make women fall in love with him, and a masked superhero who kills anyone that stands in his way.

April arrives, and Mirai is now a high school student; he heads to school on the day of his entrance ceremony, where he sees an angel flying overhead; having fallen for Revel, the angel's trick, Mirai is willing to give his own life to protect Saki.

Metropoliman sends a message to the other God candidates through a TV broadcast; he wants the candidates to assemble and discuss who should become the next God.

Another new God candidate makes contact with Mirai and Saki; his name is Nanato Mukaido.

Serial-middle-school-girl-murderer Girl A escapes from the facility where she's being held; Mirai's group deduces that Metropoliman helped her escape to lure out other God candidates; Mira despises Metropoliman's willingness to play dirty.
