Oh Wansoo, head of the NOW Foundation, becomes the target of a shooting while on the way to a fundraiser. Doyoon, who is investigating his friend's death, comes to her rescue.
Doyoon starts working at Hwain Group as Wansoo's bodyguard. Wansoo witnesses a shocking event during fundraising. When Wansoo is drunkenly taken to her hotel room, she unexpectedly approaches Doyoon.
Yongkook's illegitimate child appears with Taera on the day of Hwain Group's photoshoot.
Doyoon worries for Wansoo's safety and warns the person threatening her is within Hwain Group.
Wansoo departs with Doyoon after her mother's death. Meanwhile, Doyoon investigates Palseongbok, a key location regarding the Hwain Group's slush fund, in hope of uncovering the heart of the mystery.
While returning from the welfare center, Doyoon narrowly saves Wansoo's life from an explosion. Wansoo asks for Doyoon's help to retrieve the original copy of the NOW Foundation's ledger to catch the culprit within Hwain Group.
