On the journey west to prevent the resurrection attempt of Gyoumaou, the Sanzo party finds themselves under attack by suspicious humans.

After getting attacked, Hakkai rejoins the others. The group leaves the city, and Hazel appears before them.

By working along with Hazel, the group finds a different way of thinking between them. Hazel talks with Sanzo and asks for something.

The Sanzo group arrives at a mysterious town that the demons cannot enter because of the barrier made by Lord Soushin. They feel the cleric's power is very suspicious but manage to enjoy this robust town without knowing something is behind them.

Goku comes across a starving demon with a flair for the dramatic.

The group have seen an abnormal amount of yellow eyes since their arrival in town, and since that colour is proof people were once dead, Hazel may be nearby.
