In 1979, Detective Mike Brady contends with a grisly body count in the desert. Two years later, a dental hygienist is held captive by a mysterious couple, and she comes to learn about her male abductor's violent past.

Pamela is kidnapped by a faceless man and his female accomplice, Sara, and conveyed from motel to motel. The kidnappers' drug-fuelled violence spins out of control, and even Sara begins to question her involvement with the charismatic killer.

The killer evades the police and drives across the Texas countryside with a new captive held at gunpoint and a manhunt is launched to find the man before he can kill again.
