In the sheltered, privileged life of the British in Singapore in 1941, not even the military take the threat of Japanese invasion seriously. However, things are about to change.

It is December 1941, and the Japanese continue their advance southwards, but no-one believes that Singapore will be taken.

Captured by the Japanese and separated from their men, the women are marched to their internment camp and cannot believe what they find there.

Ex-Doctor Who companion Louise Jameson has a tough old time of it in the gripping drama set in a World War II POW camp, and new Dutch women prisoners arrive at the camp laden with possessions.

Antagonism between the British and Dutch women grows. Marion, as the British leader, comes under increasing pressure and doubts her ability to cope.

Rumour has it that some Red Cross parcels have arrived at the camp, and Rose, Blanche and Dorothy decide to investigate.
