Thicker Than Water

Chronicle of the three siblings Waldemar: Lasse, Jonna and Oscar, who reunite after many years at the family’s lodging house in the Alandic archipelago. The homecoming is conflict-ridden and arouses old memories and secrets. Simultaneously their mother, Anna-Lisa, has a hidden agenda that will forever change the lives of the siblings.

The sudden death of mother Anna-Lisa jolts the Waldemar siblings and her will contains an unexpected demand that forces Lasse, Oscar and Jonna to stay and cooperate against their will. At the same time an event occurs in Stockholm which tightens the noose around Lasses throat. Suddenly the siblings are in for the longest summer of their lives.

Jonna has disappeared and the will is threatened with annulment if she doesn’t return to the lodging house. Lasse wants to finish the pool while he’s there, something Oscar forbids. Underneath the pool is a dark secret that must never surface. Liv unwittingly is drawn to Lasse. Could it be that old flames die hard?

Lasse is not able to collect the insurance money for the restaurant fire and the claimants venture out to the lodging house. Oscar notices Liv defending Lasse, but he’s forced to help in order to cleanse his conscience for sinking the body in the sea. Jonna finds a safe haven with the amateur drama theatre and the new friend Mikael Rosén.

It’s midsummer and the lodging house is getting in shape for a big wedding reception that create unthought-of problems for Oscar whose trying to be on his best behaviour towards Liv. Jonna gets an unexpected visit that complicates things further. Lasse and Liv have a conflict deriving from the past, but when the truth appears everything changes.

The kiss changes everything and Oscar becomes paranoid regarding Lasse and Liv. At the same time he has to do all in his power to keep the siblings cooperating running the lodging house. In the sea divers look for a shipwreck, but find something else completely. Lasse gets called upon by the police who seems to have found a new suspect. Manne is not impressed neither by Jonnas amateur dramatic theatre or her co-star Mikael Rosén.
