Looking for help finding romance, Yashiro Nene summons a spirit in the girls' bathroom, but the spirit and the changes that come to her life are far from what she expected.

A rash of mysterious thefts hits the school and it is rumoured that the spirit Yousei-san is behind it. When Nene spots the thief, she may lose more than her school supplies.

Nene turns to Hanako for help when her best friend goes missing, and they journey to the a place between the world of the living and the world of the dead.

Nene, Hanako, and Kou reach the top of the Misaki Stairs, where a mysterious woman awaits them. Nene may get her friend back, or may disappear as well.

The students begin pairing off into romantic couples thanks to a special tree; Nene begins questioning the nature of her relationship with Hanako.

Nene and Kou go to the 4 O'clock Library, the ultimate source of information concerning the school's student body, to find out more about Hanako.
