Four very different, relationship-challenged individuals unexpectedly end up sharing a Queens townhouse.

Caryn visits her grandmother to tell her why she broke off her wedding engagement, while Zara tries to help Eric cope with losing his father.

Caryn and Zara discover that Stosh has been using food pilfered from their kitchen to cook meals for them and Eric. Also, Stosh skims the money that Eric gave him to buy a TV to pay off his bookie.

Caryn reluctantly goes on a date with a nerdy guy; however, she ends up becoming interested in him when he does not call her back. Also, Stosh gets Zara to enter an art contest.

Eric goes with Stosh when he visits his 12-year-old son for the first time, while Zara starts to find Caryn clingy and overbearing.

The gang goes to a lesbian bar, at which Caryn and Stosh compete for the same woman. Meanwhile, Zara considers telling Eric the bar patrons think he is a lesbian, too.
