Paul has his hands full when his wife, Cate, returns to work and he's left to supervise their teenage daughters. The trouble's not long coming - Bridget's new flame turns out to be a heartbreaker.

Bridget is accused of shoplifting at the local chemist shop, and her picture is put on its `wall of shame'. Paul discovers she was covering for a friend and tries to put things right. Meanwhile, Rory has girl problems.

Paul suggests Bridget get a job to learn how to be financially responsible. When Bridget lands a job at a trendy mall clothing store that offers its workers a 40 percent discount, Paul and Cate begin to worry that she may not be learning the true value of money.

Bridget takes drastic measures when an overprotective Paul keeps coming up with excuses to delay her from taking her driver's test. Meanwhile, after convincing a less than confident Kerry that she has the talent to enter an art competition, Paul is shocked and Kerry is devastated when her submission is rejected.

Paul is ecstatic when Bridget's new boyfriend turns out to be one of the best sportsmen in the state, and allows her to break her curfew in order to go out with him - thus annoying her sister.

Kerry is chosen over Bridget for a spot on the cheerleading team, and Paul tries to switch Rory's attention from video games to books.
