Aspiring actress Sonny Munroe arrives in Hollywood for her big break: a part in a hit comedy sketch show. Tawni, the star of the show, resents her and Sonny has to resort to flattery to appease her.

Sonny accidentally gives away a parking space to a rival show and re-ignites a long running feud. She tries to make peace and ends up challenging their rivals to musical chairs.

The cast of Sonny's show are worried that she might defect to the rival show `Mackenzie Falls' after her ideas for a sketch are rejected, so they try to persuade her to stay.

Sonny's worried she's not getting fan mail, so writes a letter to herself. Her ploy rebounds on her when the show wants to meet her fan and she ends up leading a double life.

Sonny's worried about a geometry test. Tawni suggests she cheat, but in the end she doesn't and passes anyway. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady compete for the attention of a pretty new girl.

Sonny is jealous when best friend Lucy comes to visit and immediately hits it off with Tawni. Tensions reach boiling point when Lucy and Tawni go to Chad's party without her.
