Aoi Ashito is a third year middle school student from Ehime; behind his raw game hides his immense talent but Ashito suffers a huge setback because of his overly straightforward personality.

At Fukuda's invitation and with the support of Shun, Ashito goes to Tokyo.
EPISODE 3
The Final Test Begins
Ashito and the others, who passed the first test, have to play against the Tokyo City Esperion Youth Team. However, Fukuda announces that he will provide instructions mid-match. As the candidates around him get anxious, Ashito tries to defeat the Youth Team in order to pass. As soon as the match starts, Ashito swiftly leads his fellow examinees to the first goal, but then they begin to feel unsettled by the Esperion Youth's slow start.

THE CROW
Fukuda is not surprised to see the examinees overwhelmed by the Esperion team's game. As they cannot get back on track, the students let the others score goals and the game becomes one-sided. While the students are desperate to close the point gap, Ashito, who's been beaten up by Akutsu's rough play, gradually loses his fighting spirit.

Orange Scenery
After Ashito returns to his hometown of Ehime to await his results, a notification arrives from the Esperion Youth. The protagonist and his friends are pretty excited, but his mother Noriko's expression is gloomy. Hana, who is explaining everything to him on the phone, suggests Ashito talk to Noriko before moving to Tokyo. He tries to face her, but they don't talk too much and end up avoiding each other.
EPISODE 6
First Fan
After having a heart-to-heart with his mother Noriko, Ashito goes to Tokyo City Esperion FC with burning determination. After speaking to some female fans at the practice field, a flustered Ashito is reunited with Eisaku and Soichiro, who played alongside him during the selection test. Ashito then meets up with Yuma and Jun, who have been promoted from the Junior Youth team, and they arrive at the dormitory only to learn that one of the candidates who passed the exam has not arrived yet.
