Cowboy Bebop

Spike, a bounty hunter, and his partner Jet Black head to the Tijuana asteroid colony on their ship, the Bebop, to track down a bounty-head named Asimov Solensan, wanted for murder and the theft of a dangerous combat drug known as Bloody-Eye.

Spike and Jet are hired to recover an unusual item that has been stolen from a research laboratory. Spike is led on a wild chase, first by the thief, and then by the item itself.
