Following a great war, a magical girl, Asuka Otori, tries to return to a normal life, but when a new threat appears, Asuka must come out of retirement and join a squadron of other magical girls to battle the new antagonists.

In the wake of the incident, metropolitan police interrogate Kanth; Asuka rejects Iizuka's offer; hearing of a nearby Disas attack, Asuka rushes to the aid of her fellow magical girl Kurumi Mugen.

Nozomi's father, who works for the Metropolitan Police, gets some information out of Kanth, a warning that the magical girls are prey. Later that night, Nozomi is kidnapped by an illegal magical girl.

Babel Brigade—Combat Begins
When Public Safety refuse to launch a rescue operation to save Nozomi, Iizuka calls upon Asuka and Kurumi to rescue her. Asuka faces off against the two magical Russian mercenaries, Stroghil and Pobur.

A Very Realistic Way of Dealing with a Problem
Kurumi uses her magic to remove Nozomi's memories of the past week and Asuka agrees to join M Squad. Iizuka's superiors refuse to move Nozomi to another school, hoping to use her as bait.

Wish Upon a Star
Asuka's group and the rest of the M Squad enjoy a Tanabata festival. Mia's squad discovers a motto written in lipstick at the residence of Jerome.
