Mirai is a student that attempts taking his own life, when he's saved by an angel offering him a second chance. Against his will, he finds himself in a showdown between 12 other candidates to become the new god.

The Angel's Gift
Mirai Kakehashi plans to kill himself on the day of his middle school graduation, but Nasse the angel saves his life and grants him wings and arrows; Mirai initially refuses, but he begins to regain his hope after receiving them.

The Hero of Justice
Nasse informs Mirai that he has been chosen to be a God candidate; only one out of the thirteen God candidates will be selected to become the next God; Mirai has trouble believing the news at first.

Beloved
April arrives, and Mirai is now a high school student; he heads to school on the day of his entrance ceremony, where he sees an angel flying overhead; having fallen for Revel, the angel's trick, Mirai is willing to give his own life to protect Saki.
EPISODE 4
The Time of the Gathering
Metropoliman sends a message to the other God candidates through a TV broadcast; he wants the candidates to assemble and discuss who should become the next God; Mirai and Saki are forced to make a difficult decision.

Death Sentence
Mirai and Saki leave Jinbo Stadium feeling helpless; they meet a new God candidate, Nanato Muakido.

Two Painful Options
Serial-middle-school-girl-murderer Girl A escapes from the facility where she's being held; Mirai's group deduces that Metropoliman helped her escape to lure out other God candidates; Mira despises Metropoliman's willingness to play dirty.
