Ike Evans, the owner of Miami's most glamorous hotel, makes an ill-fated deal with mob boss Ben Diamond to ensure the success of his glitzy establishment.

Ike learns that Mike Strauss has disappeared, District Attorney Klein uses Ike's law student son to his advantage, and Stevie Evans plays around with Lily Diamond.

Ike tries to bribe officials in the hope they will legalise casino gambling. Vera is visited by an old friend, Ben questions his wife's fidelity, and Ike asks his wealthy former sister-in-law for a favour.

Mike Strauss' body is seized, Victor makes plans to get his wife out of Cuba, and Vera arranges to have Jackie Kennedy appear for a charity event.

Ike intends to protect Judi Silver from Ben Diamond. Pictures of Stevie and Lily surface, Vera continues her efforts to become pregnant, and Danny and Mercedes grow closer.

Ike and Ben Diamond wager heavily on a boxing match and Jackie Kennedy cancels on Vera. Meanwhile, blackmail photos meant for Stevie wind up in Danny's hands, and Klein finds something that will change Ike's life.
