A video game lover awakes to find himself in a medieval fantasy world.

Arc is officially a mercenary in a guild. On his first assignment, he visits Marca, a girl who wishes to gather herbs as her late father had done to assist her mother. However, she needs protection as she gathers them. Arc, determined to help the girl, follows Marca into the forest. The mission goes well, and they even meet a small spirit animal. However, deep in the forest lurks a powerful beast.

After Arc defeats a gang of bandits, he is ambushed by Ariane, a Dark Elf warrior, who mistook him for a slave trader. After resolving the misunderstanding, Arc tries to lend his help to her cause. However, she rejects help from humans. Still, Arc cannot passively watch such injustice, and the very next day, he ventures deep into the Elf's forest to find Ariane.

Ariane and Arc head to the town of Diento to break up the local elf slave trade.
