S4, E9: Off their decision to elope in 4008, Kris and Junior race towards a Vegas chapel. Junior has a surprise wedding gift for Kris. He convinced Congressman Nichols to let Kris have her license reinstated. At her clinic Dani has a surprise of her own for the returning Noah, she’s going back into racing with Tigress Eye. Noah performs a check up on Tigress Eye only to announce that sheh may not be race worthy. At Raintree, Matt needs a missing Kris’s help with the dirty dozen. Jean takes Kris’s place and Matt puts her to work with a fussy horse, Nicaya, but during the breeze Nicaya panics and kicks Jean in the chest. Once they reach the chapel, Junior and Kris get a call from Matt with the bad news about Jean. They rush to the hospital. Jean has broken a few ribs and they are going to keep her sedated for a few days. Kris offers to take over horse training while Matt looks after his mother. Junior and Kris decide to postpone eloping for a while. At the clinic Dani tells Noah she’s racing Tigress Eye despite his diagnosis. Kris trains the horses trying to decide which ones will race. Matt tells her how glad he is to have her right now, leaving Kris conflicted and feeling guilty. Junior makes the case to tell Matt about their relationship. Dani visits Matt in the hospital and they realize that they are both drawn to racing. Kris manages to calm Nicaya. She figures if she treats Nicaya right he can be a good horse, but Matt disagrees. This is the horse that hurt his mother. Junior defends Kris’s opinion and they tell Matt about their relationship. His only reaction is an order to put Nicaya away. Noah admits his daignosis was influenced by not wanting to see Dani reconnect with her father, which angers her. Pablo corners Junior about his behavior. He knows Junior’s letting his relationship with Kris hurt his business but Junior tells him to back off. Kris convinces Matt to let her breeze Nicaya, but when the jockey doesn’t work out, Kris takes over and Nicaya has an amazing time. Kris is forced to tell Matt she has her license back thanks to Junior and Matt is forced to swallow that fact despite his anger. Noah and Dani make up but when Davis calls her, Dani ignores Noah to talk to him. At the hospital Pablo corners Kris about her relationship with Junior causing her to go to Junior to discuss their wedding plans. Kris reiterates her love for him, choosing him over Raintree. Just as everything seems like it’s going to be okay, Matt calls with bad news about Jean. She’s taken a turn for the worse.
