Detectives August Brooks and Chase McDonald meet when August and several officers are overwhelmed by criminals in an explosive shootout. Once the situation is under control, they are immediately assigned a case to track down a bomber who has set off a series of explosions in his quest to warn people of the advances of technology.

Chase and August volunteer their time at August's gym, where they help kids off the street and out of gangs. The detectives try to prevent one of the kids from killing a rival gang member who murdered his brother.

Chase and August are ambushed while providing routine transit protection for a star witness who is supposed to testify against the mob.

Chase and August must protect Electra, a prostitute who is an eyewitness to a murder.

Chase and August track down a gang of thieves who, disguised in Halloween costumes, steal silicon chips and sell them overseas.

A camera crew for a" Cops"-like reality show follows Chase and August around to catch a glimpse of real life police drama.
