S1, E3: Misao disappears fighting Reishiro's Asura Machina Hisui, and Kanade is held captive. Filled with rage, Tomoharu tries to call on Kurogane again. With the silver trunk in hand, Tomoharu goes to confront the First Student Council. He is stopped by Reishiro's ghost Aine. “Are you willing to hurt Misao to save a demon?” Behind Reishiro's determination to keep handlers and demons apart is the tragic past of Aine, Reishiro, and Reiko. Seeing Kanade sacrifice herself for Tomoharu's sake, Tomoharu chooses to fight.
