Tsuyoshi Osanai (Yo OIZUMI) is having a happy life with his lovely wife Kozue (Ko SHIBASAKI) and their daughter Ruri until he loses both of them in a tragic car accident. 10 years passes. Tsuyoshi who is living through sadness, but one day Akihiko Misumi (Ren MEGURO) visits him. Akihiko tells him that Tsuyoshi's daughter, Ruri who Akihiko has never met, was on the way to meet him before the accident.
