The Chaplain

Protestant minister Saeki Tamotsu (Osugi) visits prison twice a month as a chaplain to meet death-row inmates and share the Bible with them. He is mainly concerned with helping them repent to make their brief remaining lives more fulfilling and death more peaceful, but then he begins reflecting on his own fleeting life.
