The Way of the Hot & Spicy

The sale promoter Kenta Sarukawa (Akito Kiriyama), an employee of the Osaka-based beverage company "Ronron", is responsible for the major clients, working behind the scenes. His support work is well-appreciated, so the company decides to transfer him to the sales office in Tokyo. However, he's welcome not only with harsh clients but also his co-workers seem pretty close... Under the influence of Kazuhiko Tanioka (Mitsuru Hirata), the chief who loves spicy food, Sarukawa wakes up to the call of the "Way of Hot&Spicy (Gekikaradou)". This drama is a slice-of-life story, where a young adult, who seriously pursues the "Gekikaradou", will grow as a man and as a worker.

    Kenta Sarukawa (Akito Kiriyama), an employee of the beverage company "Ronron", is transferred to the Tokyo branch at Sales Office, after his efforts have been recognized by Osaka Headquarters. However, his first business meeting with a long-established liquor store client, is a complete failure. Ichiro Katsuragi, the shopkeeper, gets angry... On that evening, Kazuhiko Tanioka (Mitsuru Hirata) and Yuma Okochi (Rika Izumi) hold a welcome party for the new employee. What comes out is a surprisingly spicy dish...! Then, Tanioka explains the "Gekikaradou" (The Way of the Hot&Spicy) to an overwhelmed Sarukawa.

    Kenta Sarukawa (Akito Kiriyama) has moved to the Tokyo branch, at the Sales Office of the beverage company "Ronron". One day, his chief Tanioka (Mitsuru Hirata) orders him to go to a supermarket which is considered a "level two" of spiciness. It is a very cheap supermarket run by Yuki Nishidera (Hasegawa Tomoru); a young owner, who has just inherited it from his predecessors. The day before, Okochi (Rika Izuka) had to take the same challenge but failed... Kenta decides to go, and Nishidera asks him: "Do you know the difference between us and other supermarkets?"

    Kenta Sarukawa (Akito Kiriyama) has moved to the Tokyo branch, at the Sales Office of the beverage company "Ronron". One day, he goes to the Koya Kaikan, a karate dojo that should be a "level five" of spiciness. He asks to put their vending machine in there, but the director, Oyamada (Akaji Maro), immediately refuses. From his experience, Sarukawa is not good with karate. However, that evening, the protagonist decides to taste the extremely hot mapo tofu, even if he doesn't like it. In the end, Sarukawa ask Oyamada to enroll in the dojo!

One day, he gets reprimanded by Maeda (Tomomi Maruyama), director of the Accountant Office, for the expired expense application. Takamiya (Aimi Satsukawa) of the accounting department, who cannot just watch, helps Sarukawa with that. As the protagonist falls in love with the beautiful Takamiya, he asks her out for a dinner to show his gratitude. The atmosphere is good thanks to the Thai cuisine recommended by Mr. Tanioka (Mitsuru Hirata), but then the spicy Yum Woon Sen comes out...!

However, they are turned away at the door by manager Ushijima (Itao Itsuji). Kenta finds out that Akari (Ayame Misaki), the number one hostess, can ask anything to the manager store. Is he referring to Isobe Yuka (Mayumi Asaka), the owner of the long-established public baths, who's in business with him!? People suspect her to be an adulterer... Don't let her appearance fool you! What, spicy Mexican food!?
