Despite their hatred towards each other, Raku Ichijo, the sole heir of a Yakuza family, and Chitoge Kirisaki, the daughter of a mobster, are forced to pretend to be lovers to avoid a gang war.

A Promise
While Raku is walking to school, a girl suddenly falls and kicks him; she turns out to be Chitoge and has transferred to Raku's class.
EPISODE 2
Encounter
Raku and Chitoge have their first fake date, although Raku wishes that his date is Kosaki instead; Kosaki seems convinced that they are dating.
EPISODE 3
Two Of A Kind
Raku hopes to explain to Kosaki that he is not really dating Chitoge; the other students become curious of the relationship between Raku and Kosaki.
EPISODE 4
The Visit
Ruri sees an opportunity to help bring Raku and Kosaki closer together, and suggests holding a study group at Raku's house.
EPISODE 5
Swimming
Ruri asks Chitoge to join the girls' swimming team, before inviting Raku, Chitoge, and Kosaki to their practice with an ulterior motive in mind.
EPISODE 6
Borrowing and Lending
Kosaki learns the truth of Raku and Chitoge's relationship, and must draw on all of her courage in order to confess her true feelings to him.
