The Gahwamansasung restaurant is due to open its doors as the largest family owned Chinese restaurant in Chinatown; Bong Sam-bong, the patriarch of the family, finally achieves his lifelong dream and strives to live by the name of his restaurant.

Bong Sam-bong's eldest son threatens the harmony of the household when a woman shows up with a baby, claiming Man-ho as the father; the family desperately tries to hide Man-ho's affair from Mi-soon as they struggle to find a solution.

Man-ho's lover is determined to wedge her way into the Bong family and steal Mi-soon's life.

Mi-soon discovers Man-ho's affair and feels betrayed by the family for keeping it a secret from her; Hae-ryung's already dysfunctional marriage faces peril as her mother-in-law is desperate for a child that Hae-ryung is no longer able to bear.
