Drossel confesses she has had a “dream” about a human. When she insists that the first step toward achieving peace with him is to find common ground through words, Gedächtnis lectures her about the characteristically human phenomenon of “evolving language.”

Donning her late father’s red cloak, Drossel declares that she wishes to go outside the castle. Gedächtnis informs her about the hostile situation with mankind beyond the castle walls and employs various methods to keep Drossel from going outside…

Drossel discovers a star-based fortunetelling kit in the castle and attempts to read the future in her own unique way. Watching over her, Gedächtnis tells her about an important human Drossel’s father long hoped would arrive for the sake of peace.
